AN OVERVIEW:

ASIATEL has been incorporated in 2004 as the sister concern of Al-Haj Group of Companies which started its operation with a goal to serve the telecom companies, telecom service providers, network operators as a service and support organization.

Our objective is to solve business problems/needs : Telecom BTS, BSC & MSC Installation & Commissioning. Microwave, HF, VHF & UHF communication equipment Installation, Commissioning & Testing and developing their discrete or integrated planning, LAN installation, connecting distant LANs and PABXs by using Microwave or different radios and Structured Cabling WAN Setup & Installation, Support Services with Service Level Agreement.

The Company concentrated only on Telecommunications and specialized itself with more investment, inclusion of new departments to fulfill its mission to be a leader as a telecom Integrator in Bangladesh. As a result the Company now represents: Mycom International, Malaysia, Silverlake System Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, Itopia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, Golden Key Company (Pvt.) Ltd, IMAS, Australia in Bangladesh.

    EQUIPMENT CAPABILITY:

    Microwave Planning:

    • Terrestrial factors: Site Survey, Condition of Terrain (Flat / Hilly /desert), Presence of water body like big river/lake/sea, presence of forest or big trees.
    • Environmental factors: Weather conditions like humidity, fog, rain & others impurity.
    • Frequency selection & planning considering air distance, availability as well as reliability of link, Radio frequency and local EMI, Co-channel & adjacent channel interferences.
    • Tower height calculation considering air distance & first freznel zone clearance using manufacturer provided software or standard formula.
    • Selection of Radio equipments considering Data rate, Data interface facilities, system gain, modulation technique, environmental conditions.
    • Link budget considering required Fade margin using appropriate antennas, cables, wave-guides and connectors.


    Microwave Transmission:

    • Installation- Equipment set-up, feeder cable, lightning arrester and wave-guide connection, radio modem configuration, antenna alignment.
    • Testing & Commissioning- Link performance monitoring, testing BER and connecting network interface.
    • Maintain minimum downtime of the microwave links, which include the systems availability and set up regular backup strategy.
    • Supervise engineers, technicians and other personnel and oversee their professional development and hands on training.
    • Supervise a team to implement projects and day-to-day activities.
    • Weekly discussion with immediate supervisor regarding technical and support issues, monthly scheduled meeting and representing data sheet for updating all of the conditions with divisional head, attend meeting with customers according to their requirements.

    Necessary Tools: Terrain MAPS, GPS receiver, Binocular, azimuth meter, elevation meter, Balloon, manufacturer provided software, Power meter, attenuator, BER tester, spectrum analyser, splitters, multi meter.

    Our Engineers are also experienced in the site survey & network planning of UHF,VHF & HF Radio systems. They have also installed & maintained these radios /radio networks for a long time.


    MANAGERIAL / PERSONNEL CAPABILITIES:

    ASIATEL has sufficient number of professional and technical personnel other than administrative and supporting staff. The technical manpower includes senior experienced engineers, construction supervisors and surveyors. Administrative and support staffs are to feed the project director for smooth execution of works.
